Fastest Reset Time Per Room (Last 4 Weeks)
Speed matters, but only if resets are accurate. Track reset time for each room separately since some rooms take longer than others, and use a four-week window to capture enough data points. This metric shows operational excellence and attention to process.
Highest Escape Rate (Last 4 Weeks)
This measures who's best at helping teams succeed without giving away answers. Good game masters read the room, send hints at the right time, and keep teams moving forward. A four-week window smooths out variance from particularly strong or weak customer groups.
Fastest Response Time (Last 4 Weeks)
This tracks how quickly game masters respond when teams ask for help, with six seconds or less as the target. Longer delays cause anxiety and pull teams out of the experience, while fast responses keep momentum going.
Most Daily Tasks Completed (Last 4 Weeks)
This reveals who takes initiative on operational work beyond game mastering, including cleaning, auditing rooms, restocking supplies, and fixing minor issues. These tasks keep the venue running smoothly, and some employees naturally gravitate toward this work more than others.
Making It Competitive Without Being Toxic
The key is ranking positive behaviors only. Never post "slowest reset times" or "worst escape rates" because that creates shame and disengagement. Always frame leaderboards as recognition for top performers.
This approach resonates with employees who grew up with achievement systems in games, apps, and social platforms. They're used to seeing performance compared to others in real time and want to know where they stand right now and what specific actions will move the needle. Leaderboards answer both questions immediately.
